Nancy and I

A horror story we did in class.
The criteria -
It had to be horror but not gory blood death rarara.
It had to include the words Happy, Superhero, Fox, Dandruff and ship but not distract the reader.
It had to have 150 give or take 10.

Heres my story:

Nancy and I

We’re alone at sea, Nancy and I. Yes, alone, very. There’s no way out. We are lost.

I sway on the deck, my eyes casting upon Nancy, as she leans over the railing of our ship ‘The Superhero’. Her lips are parched, flaking away in pieces, like dandruff, as though she has some strange disease. Her t-shirt’s ripped from where I stopped her from falling off the side of our boat, back where we could see land, back in the happy days, the days when we weren’t lost.

Nancy and I grew up together, yet now, we barely talk. I sneak around like a fox. Trying not to make eye contact.

The minutes tick past and our thin, strained bodies grow slowly weaker. That’s why I’m writing this, because I know, we’re slowly drifting away, fading, falling from this life, into the next.
